Composite Deck Board FAQs
Which boards are best for commercial use?
Our 137 x 23 mm boards are best suited for commercial projects, as they have an anti-slip rating of R11. However, the joist span may need to be reduced depending on the concentrated load (kN).
For installations that have higher concentrated loads, we recommend using the Marina board (137x32mm).
What makes ModWood’s solid section board different?
Our solid section board is specially formulated for higher strength and has superior moisture-resistant properties. This allows the board to span up to 450 mm joist centres in residential applications.
Can ModWood solid boards be bent for curved designs?
Yes, they can. The solid board can be 'bent' on the edge to a radius of 5m, which makes it great for use as garden edging. Please note that the solid decking boards can be used for screening with a maximum span (centre to centre)of 1500 mm on a continuous span (on edge).
